my vision of an ideal republic is were everyone has a job to help the community at large. You could choose any profession you wanted and do that for the entire community. For instance, if you wanted to be a architect you could design the building of the entire city. also, there would have to be a strong central government that wasn't to strict and listened to the people. this would be ideal because it would help level crime rates and everyone will be helping everyone so they will all be able to live in harmony.
